Meet Our Staff

chief pharmacist

Nongnuch (Ae) Wongkaew, RPh, PhD

Chief Pharmacist

Ae received her PhD in Pharmacy from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

She started her career in academia and later joined the pharmaceutical industry in the R&D department of a major pharmaceutical organization. Her early background allowed Ae to be very familiar with the drug formulation and manufacturing process.

The call to become a practicing pharmacist came when Ae was taking time away from work to raise her young son, Ike. As she eased back into the workforce working part-time at a retail pharmacy, Ae discovered that she enjoyed working in a community pharmacy setting where she could directly interact with the patients and use her knowledge and interpersonal skills to help patients achieve the therapeutic outcomes and general wellness.

Prior to establishing her own practice at Lakemont Pharmacy, Ae managed a 24-hour chain store pharmacy in Bellevue and opened a second pharmacy for the same chain in Bellevue. During her time at the chain pharmacy, Ae received five customer service awards recognizing her dedication to customer service excellence.

In addition to her Pharmacist license in Washington, Ae is a certified immunizer and a licensed Pharmacy Preceptor. Ae has participated as a preceptor to a number of pharmacy students from University of Washington, Washington State University, Creighton University, Midwestern University, and Northeastern University through their internships, and served as an advisor to the pharmacy technician externship programs at three local technical colleges.
